Quick Presets & Custom Entry

Jump immediately to popular time blocks or configure exact durations down to the second.

Visual & Tab Title Feedback

Common Use Cases

Kitchen & Cooking Timer

Time baking, boiling eggs, steeping tea, or roasting without needing a physical kitchen timer.

Practice taking standardized test sections or essay questions under strict time constraints.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the countdown alert me if I am viewing another browser tab?

Yes. When the timer expires, the synthesized Web Audio alarm chimes in your speakers or headphones even if the tab is in the background.

Does the timer lose time if my computer goes to sleep?

The timer computes its remaining time based on absolute timestamps. When your computer wakes, the timer immediately checks whether the target time has passed and rings if appropriate.

Can I set a timer longer than 60 minutes?

Yes. You can edit the duration fields to set multi-hour timers for slow cooking, long study marathons, or work projects.
